LANCIA CORSE HF SHOWCASES ITS RALLY LADDER WITH 37 YPSILON ENTRIES IN ROME
Lancia Corse HF will field 37 Lancia Ypsilon rally cars at Rally di Roma Capitale 2026, underlining the scale of its renewed motorsport programme at one of the FIA European Rally Championship's flagship events.
With 37 of the rally's 113 entries carrying the Lancia badge, nearly one-third of the field will compete in a Ypsilon, highlighting the growing presence of the Italian manufacturer across European rallying.
The entry includes seven Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale, 28 Ypsilon Rally4 HF and two Ypsilon Rally6 cars, covering every level of the brand's newly established rally development ladder.
Lancia says the programme has been designed to provide a structured pathway for young drivers, beginning with the Rally6 category before progressing through Rally4 and into Rally2 competition at European and world level.
Andrea Mabellini and Virginia Lenzi will spearhead Lancia Corse HF's official FIA European Rally Championship campaign in the Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale as they continue their fight in the ERC standings.
Joining the Rally2 line-up are WRC2 competitors Yohan Rossel and Nikolay Gryazin, who will use the event to gain experience on stages scheduled to join the FIA World Rally Championship calendar next season. Italian championship leader Andrea Crugnola and multiple French champion Yoann Bonato are also among the seven Rally2 entries.
In the junior categories, Davide Pesavento and Alessio Angeli, together with Francesco Dei Ceci and Christian Vizzaccaro, will continue their campaigns in Junior ERC and ERC4.
The Ypsilon Rally4 HF will again form the backbone of Lancia's customer programme, with 18 cars entered in the ERC and another 10 competing in the Italian Rally Championship.
Rally di Roma Capitale will also host the third and fourth rounds of the Trofeo Lancia, with 18 crews competing in the one-make series. Edoardo De Antoni arrives as the overall and Master category leader, while Nicolò Ardizzone tops the Junior standings and Christian Casadei leads the Expert classification.
For Under-35 competitors, the Trofeo Lancia continues to offer a pathway into professional rallying, with the overall champion earning access to an official Lancia programme in 2027.
Lancia will also field two examples of the new Ypsilon Rally6, which makes its second competitive appearance as the entry-level model in the manufacturer's rally pyramid.
Rally di Roma Capitale begins on Friday with the ceremonial start through Rome before the opening special stage near the Colosseum. The event continues with six stages on Saturday and four more on Sunday before the finish in Via della Conciliazione.
