Léo Rossel finishes sixth in Greece as Lancia Corse HF continues developing the Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale ahead of Rally di Roma Capitale.

LANCIA CORSE HF GAINS IMPORTANT GRAVEL EXPERIENCE AT ACROPOLIS RALLY 2026

Lancia Corse HF completed another important step in the development of the Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale after a demanding Acropolis Rally 2026, using one of the toughest events on the FIA World Rally Championship calendar to gather valuable gravel data and experience.

Extreme temperatures, rough roads and more than 320 competitive kilometres tested crews and machinery throughout the Greek event, providing a demanding environment for the Italian manufacturer's Rally2 programme.

Léo Rossel and Guillaume Mercoiret delivered Lancia's strongest result of the weekend, finishing sixth overall after maintaining a consistent pace across the challenging stages of the Acropolis Rally.

Pablo Sarrazin and Yannick Roche followed closely behind in seventh place, completing a composed performance while adding further experience on one of the championship's most demanding gravel rallies.

Yohan Rossel and Arnaud Dunand showed competitive speed during the opening stages and were among the leading contenders before their rally ended on Special Stage 10 due to a technical problem.

Conner Martell and Alessandro Gelsomino also saw their event come to an early conclusion after rolling on Special Stage 14 during their FIA World Rally Championship appearance in the Lancia Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale. Both crew members escaped the accident without injury.

Although the team encountered setbacks during the weekend, Acropolis Rally provided valuable feedback for the ongoing gravel development of the Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale.

Lancia Corse HF will now turn its attention to the FIA European Rally Championship, with the team set to compete at Rally di Roma Capitale, where Yohan Rossel and Nikolay Gryazin will represent the manufacturer on asphalt.

Didier Clément – Team Principal, Lancia Corse HF

“The Acropolis rally is one of the most demanding rallies for mechanics and crews. We have many sources of satisfaction, even if we were hoping for a better result. After a lot of development work after the Portugal rally, we made great progress on this surface. Yohan Rossel demonstrated progress despite his handicap of starting 1st on the WRC2 road. Unfortunately, an engine issue stopped his momentum. Léo Rossel, for his return to gravel, improved his speed over the stages to reach a promising level. Pablo Sarrazin has achieved his most successful WRC race of his young career and Conner Martell impressed the observers for his first appearance at this level. Enough to build bright hopes for the upcoming rounds”
