ŠKODA FABIA RS RALLY2 CREWS SECURE WRC2 ONE-TWO AT ACROPOLIS RALLY 2026
The Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 delivered another impressive result in the FIA World Rally Championship as Robert Virves and Jakko Viilo claimed WRC2 victory at Acropolis Rally 2026, leading a dominant performance for Škoda in Greece.
Driving for Toksport WRT, the Estonian pairing secured their second WRC2 victory of the season after a closely contested battle with teammates Andreas Mikkelsen and Jørn Listerud throughout the demanding gravel event.
The fight for victory remained close across the weekend, with both Toksport WRT crews exchanging stage wins before the outcome was decided by a puncture that dropped Mikkelsen from the lead on the final day.
Virves and Viilo capitalised on the setback to take the WRC2 win, strengthening their championship campaign with two victories from two starts this season.
Škoda also demonstrated its depth in the category, placing four Fabia RS Rally2 crews inside the WRC2 top ten at one of the toughest gravel rallies on the FIA World Rally Championship calendar.
Jan Solans and Rodrigo Sanjuán recovered from punctures to finish eighth in WRC2 for PH.Ph, while WRC2 newcomers Mattéo Chatillon and Maxence Cornuau secured valuable championship points with ninth place.
Miguel Granados and Marc Martí completed another successful weekend for the Czech manufacturer by winning the WRC Masters Cup classification in their Škoda Fabia RS Rally2.
The Acropolis Rally once again highlighted the competitiveness and reliability of the Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 under some of the harshest conditions of the WRC season.
