TURKISH DRIVER STEPS UP TO FIA WRC2 WITH FORD FIESTA RALLY2 IN GREECE

Turkish rally driver Ali Türkkan will make his FIA World Rally Championship WRC2 debut at the upcoming Acropolis Rally in Greece, marking an important step in his international rally career.

Türkkan and co-driver Oytun Albayrak will compete in a Ford Fiesta Rally2 for the first time in WRC2 competition, with support from the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation (TOSFED).

The Acropolis Rally holds special significance for the Turkish crew. During the 2025 edition of the event, Türkkan secured victories in both the WRC3 and Junior WRC categories, making the Greek gravel classic one of the highlights of his career so far.

This year's entry represents a move to a higher level of competition, where the pair will face some of the strongest Rally2 crews in the world championship.

“We are very excited to step up to WRC2 with our Fiesta Rally2. Acropolis has special memories for us after winning both WRC3 and JWRC there last year. Now we have the opportunity to compete against stronger rivals at the next level and see what we can achieve.”

The Acropolis Rally is widely regarded as one of the toughest events on the FIA World Rally Championship calendar, with rough gravel roads, high temperatures, and demanding stages providing a major challenge for competitors.
