OTT TANAK TOYOTA RALLY1 TEST: ESTONIAN HELPS TOYOTA PREPARE FOR FAST GRAVEL RALLIES

TOYOTA CONTINUES DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME IN FINLAND AHEAD OF RALLY ESTONIA AND RALLY FINLAND

Toyota continued its preparations for the next two rounds of the 2026 FIA World Rally Championship as Ott Tanak completed a gravel test with the team's Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 in central Finland.

The test focused on development work ahead of Rally Estonia and Rally Finland, two of the fastest events on the WRC calendar.

Tanak remains involved in Toyota's development programme despite not competing in the WRC's top category this season.

TOYOTA PREPARES FOR HIGH-SPEED SUMMER EVENTS

Rally Estonia begins on 17 July, before the championship moves to Rally Finland at the end of July.

Both events are known for their fast gravel roads, high-speed crests and flowing stages, making pre-event testing an important part of team preparations.

Toyota used the roads of central Finland to continue developing its Rally1 package before the championship enters this demanding period.

TANAK CONTINUES DEVELOPMENT ROLE

Although Tanak is not racing in the WRC's premier category this season, he continues to play an active role within Toyota.

The 2019 World Rally Champion has been working as a development driver, providing technical feedback during testing while also serving as a mentor to Toyota driver Takamoto Katsuta.

His experience has contributed to Toyota's ongoing development programme.

SOLBERG ALSO TAKES TO THE WHEEL

Oliver Solberg also drove Toyota's GR Yaris Rally1 during the Finland test programme.
