OGIER CLAIMS ACROPOLIS RALLY GREECE VICTORY AFTER NEUVILLE'S LATE DRAMA

TOYOTA STAR CAPITALISES ON FINAL-DAY PUNCTURES TO SECURE SECOND WRC WIN OF 2026

Sébastien Ogier and co-driver Vincent Landais secured victory at the EKO Acropolis Rally Greece 2026 after a dramatic final day saw Thierry Neuville's hopes of victory disappear with two rear punctures on the penultimate stage.

Starting Sunday's final leg just 4.1 seconds behind Neuville, Ogier immediately reversed the deficit by taking the lead after the opening stage of the day. The battle remained extremely close until Neuville's misfortune handed the Toyota GAZOO Racing World Rally Team crew a comfortable margin heading into the Wolf Power Stage.

Ogier safely guided his Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 to the finish, claiming his second FIA World Rally Championship victory of the 2026 season following his success at Rally Islas Canarias.

According to the final classification, Ogier completed the rally in 3:36:40.7, finishing 58.3 seconds ahead of Thierry Neuville and Martijn Wydaeghe. Takamoto Katsuta and Aaron Johnston completed the podium in third place, 3:04.8 behind the winners.

Josh McErlean and Eoin Treacy finished fourth for M-Sport Ford, while Sami Pajari and Marko Salminen rounded out the top five.

Adrien Fourmaux finished sixth ahead of Elfyn Evans, with Mārtiņš Sesks taking eighth place. Oliver Solberg finished 15th overall, while Irish driver Jon Armstrong recovered to 16th after receiving a one-minute-and-forty-second road section penalty shown in the final results.

The result further strengthens Toyota's position in the manufacturers' championship.
