LANCIA YPSILON RALLY4 HF JUNIOR ERC: PESAVENTO WINS JUNIOR ERC AND ERC4 IN ROME

LANCIA CORSE HF CELEBRATES YOUNG TALENT AS PESAVENTO DELIVERS BREAKTHROUGH HOME VICTORY

Lancia Corse HF enjoyed a successful weekend at Rally di Roma Capitale, highlighted by Davide Pesavento and Alessio Angeli claiming victory in both Junior ERC and ERC4 aboard the Lancia Ypsilon Rally4 HF.

The Italian pairing produced a composed performance on one of the FIA European Rally Championship's most demanding asphalt rallies, securing a breakthrough result that moves Pesavento up to second in the Junior ERC standings.

"The victory in Junior ERC and ERC4 confirms the progress of Lancia Corse HF's young driver programme and underlines the competitiveness of the Ypsilon Rally4 HF on asphalt."

Another strong result came from Tommaso Sandrin and Andrea Dal Maso, who finished fourth in ERC4 and retained the championship lead thanks to another consistent points-scoring weekend.

MABELLINI MOVES TO THIRD IN ERC STANDINGS

In the overall Rally2 classification, Yoann Bonato was the highest-placed Lancia driver in fifth position. Andrea Mabellini and Virginia Lenzi, together with Yohan Rossel, also finished inside the top ten.

Mabellini's eighth-place finish earned valuable championship points and moved the official Lancia Corse HF crew up to third in the FIA ERC standings.

The event proved disappointing for Andrea Crugnola, who had been leading the rally before retiring after an incident on Stage 7. Prior to his retirement, the reigning Italian champion had demonstrated strong pace by setting two fastest stage times and finishing third on the Power Stage.

WRC2 EXPERIENCE AHEAD OF 2027 WRC DEBUT

Rally di Roma Capitale also provided an important opportunity for Lancia's WRC2 crews to gain experience on roads that are scheduled to join the FIA World Rally Championship calendar in 2027.

Yohan Rossel completed a productive event inside the top ten, while Nikolay Gryazin showed encouraging pace before a gearbox issue forced his retirement.

TROFEO LANCIA DELIVERS CLOSE BATTLES

The Trofeo Lancia once again demonstrated its growing competitiveness with two closely fought rounds during the Rome weekend.

Moreno Cambiaghi won the opening leg ahead of Mattia Vita and Junior leader Nicolo Ardizzone.

On Sunday, Simone Di Giovanni claimed victory ahead of Edoardo De Antoni and Cambiaghi, while Ardizzone completed another clean sweep of the Junior category to extend his championship lead.

Christian Casadei continued his dominance in the Expert category, and Di Giovanni's result moved him back to the top of both the overall and Master standings.
