KEREM KAZAZ WINS CAPPADOCIA RALLY AND RETAINS TURKISH RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP LEAD
KEREM KAZAZ AND CORENTIN SILVESTRE TAKE OVERALL VICTORY AS THE 2026 TURKISH RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP REACHES ITS FOURTH ROUND
Kerem Kazaz and Corentin Silvestre won the Cappadocia Rally, the fourth round of the 2026 Turkish Rally Championship, securing overall victory and maintaining Kazaz's lead in the championship standings.
Kazaz also claimed first place in Class 2 and the Junior Drivers classification. Ali Türkkan and Bilge Ayan finished second overall, while GP Garage My Team's Uğur Soylu and Mehmet Akif Yalçın completed the overall podium in third.
The rally concluded on Sunday evening, August 23, with the finish ceremony and awards presentation held at Paşa Bağları Open-Air Museum.
KAZAZ CONTINUES HIS CHAMPIONSHIP LEAD
The Cappadocia Rally victory allowed Kazaz to retain his position at the top of the 2026 Turkish Rally Championship standings. His result also secured the Class 2 and Junior Drivers victories.
Yıldıray Demircioğlu and Koray Akgün were the fastest crew in both Class 4 and the Two-Wheel Drive classification. Uğur Kaban and Melih Uygur won Class 5.
Sevgi Aktürk and Begüm Uludağ finished as Class N winners, while also taking the victories in the women's driver and women's co-driver classifications.
GÜROL BARANLI WINS TOSFED RALLY CUP CLASSIFICATION
Run over three days on routes around Avanos, Nevşehir and Ürgüp, the rally also featured the Behiç Yurdaçalışan TOSFED Rally Cup.
Gürol Baranlı and Melih Uygur won the TOSFED Rally Cup classification and also secured the Category 4 victory.
The father-and-daughter crew of Sadık Bilgimer and Buğçe Bilgimer, competing from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, finished second overall in the cup and won Category 5. Yusuf Ömür Cambaz and Ahmet Behlül, also from Northern Cyprus, completed the cup podium in third.
Murat Çetin and Derya Ulus won Category 3, Baran Demirkan and Tarık Doğançay won Category 2, while Berat Yıldırım and Onur Sırımoğlu took the Category 1 victory.
Buse Bilgimer won the women's driver classification, with Buğçe Bilgimer taking the women's co-driver honours.
ESKİŞEHİR RALLY NEXT ON THE CHAMPIONSHIP CALENDAR
The 2026 Turkish Rally Championship will continue on September 19-20 with the Eskişehir Rally, organized by the Eskişehir Automobile Sports Club (EOSK).
